Mads Lund

Vice President

Mads lives in Innisfail, AB and is the owner/operator of Willow Fence Farm.  He has 35 years of experience with birds and has worked with many species from little finches to turkeys and geese.

His current focus, when not out farming his fields, is on game birds, wild type lovebirds (multiple species), and Australian parakeets.  Mad's finches and lovebirds get to enjoy living and breeding in large outdoor flights during the summer months, and enjoy the warmth of indoors during the winter.

Cameron Graham

Secretary/Treasurer

Cameron Graham is serving as our Secretary Treasurer. He got his introduction to birds by an uncle who raised budgies, cockatiels, lovebirds, and a few others back when Cameron was only 11 years old. He has been hooked ever since. He began with a group of budgies and show pigeons as a teenager. Since then, he has raised everything from Japanese button quail to rheas: from a wide variety of game birds and poultry in the 90’s when he was living on an acreage to finches, canaries, and doves living in the city. He has raised birds not only for his own enjoyment, but also been connected to educating with the hatchery he owned and operated in Red Deer. Additionally, he built a petting zoo in the early 90’s at a children’s summer camp that is still operating today. He has a passion for always learning more, and trying to constantly improve and develop the birds he breeds. He enjoys working with people to help them discover new ways they can learn from and enjoy birds of all shapes and sizes. He serves as a director on the Canadian Pigeon Fanciers Association, as well as the Secretary and Show Chairman for the Calgary Fancy Pigeon Association. He brings with him over 30 years of experience raising birds of all kinds, as well as an understanding of how to work to put together shows and events. He looks forward to seeing what new opportunities our club will lead to in Calgary and beyond.

Heidi Pratt

Band Secretary/Webmaster

Heidi was born and raised in the Maritimes before moving to Alberta after university to pursue a career in geology. She has always been passionate about animals. Her love of birds started with a single canary named Frankie. Since then, she has owned and/or bred over a dozen species. After several years of breeding finches, she found that her true passion was for hookbills. She currently has a thriving colony of peach-faced lovebirds.  She is also teaching her son the value of raising and showing birds with his own small colony of exhibition budgerigars.
